As a Master Carpenter and Joiner with over 40 years' experience specialising in designing and making bespoke handmade furniture and fine joinery for the discerning residential market, I have frequently been asked by my clients if I have ever considered passing on my skills and experience to woodworking enthusiasts. Consequently, I have developed a range of courses specifically for the beginner and home woodworker who wishes to experience the joy and creativity of woodworking.

Details of the Masterclass in the Router and Moulder for Home Woodworkers are outlined below. I will show you how to achieve the level of expertise required to produce a truly well executed item, of which you will feel justifiably proud. These one-day courses are held at The Woodhall Institute of Craftsmanship near Guildford, Surrey where I am able to provide one-to-one instruction for up to four people at a time.

Router and Moulder Course for Home Woodworkers

The router is without doubt the most versatile power tool in the workshop as it is capable of performing so many tasks accurately and safely. On the Router and Moulder course I will show you how to use a 1/4in router to make grooves, mouldings, tenon and mortice joints, and dovetails using a dovetail jig.

If the router is then inverted into a router table it becomes even more versatile, as you can now use it as a spindle moulder to make raised field panel doors, narrow mouldings and even turn it into a biscuit jointer. If you do not have a router or router table this can be purchased at the special price of £145 plus VAT by clicking here or at the time of the course.

The total cost of the course is £250 and includes all refreshments and lunch.
